Potassium Humate used for sugar beets

In order to clarify the effect of potassium humate on the yield and sugar content of Sugarbeet under drip irrigation under film, experiments were
carried out with different application rates of potassium humate.

Materials and methods

Tested crop: sugar beet
Test fertilizer: potassium humate

Experimental design

Conventional fertilization is applied with water in the field, and potassium humate is applied with fertilizer pot and drip in the plot.

There are 4 treatments in the test

Blank control: conventional fertilization (urea 30 kg / 667 m2, monoammonium phosphate 10 kg / 667 m2)
Treatment 1: conventional fertilization + potassium humate 3 kg / 667 m2, the ratio of potassium humate fertilization in the period of leaf tufting and root sugar growth is 40:60, and it is applied 2 ~ 3 times.
Treatment 2: conventional fertilization + potassium humate 5 kg / 667 m2, the ratio of potassium humate fertilization in the period of leaf tufting and root sugar growth is 40:60, and it is applied 2 ~ 3 times.
Treatment 3: conventional fertilization + potassium humate 7 kg / 667 m2, the ratio of potassium humate fertilization in the period of leaf tufting and root sugar growth is 40:60, and it is applied 2 ~ 3 times.

Test method

Drip irrigation under plastic film was used in the experiment, with one film, two tubes and two rows, with a sowing width of 70 cm and a plant row spacing of 20 cm × 50 cm, 1 seedling per hole.
The experiment was repeated three times, with a total of 12 districts. The length of the test plot is 3 m, and the area of each test plot is 36.0 M × 0.80 m = 28.8 m2。 Harvest in mid October.

Key points of analysis

Effects of drip irrigation under film on the aboveground part, chlorophyll, green leaf, sugar content, quality and yield of Sugarbeet

Summary

The application and non application of potassium humate have little effect on the chlorophyll of rice leaves under film drip irrigation, but have an effect on the aboveground part, sugar content,
sugar beet yield and sugar yield. However, the larger the application amount, the better. Through this experiment, it is concluded that the application of potassium humate is beneficial to the overall yield, sugar yield and sugar beet quality. Among the four gradient fertilization, the quality and yield are the highest when the application amount of 5 kg / 667 m2 in the whole growth period.
